Chevron is looking for a Tax Analyst to join our Global Finance team in Buenos Aires. The selected professional will play a key role in managing the company’s tax liability and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, supporting global operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and support the filing of tax returns and reports.
  • Manage tax determination processes for customer billing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses (P&L, balance sheet, payments).
  • Analyze accounting data, inventory adjustments, and transactions for tax reporting purposes.
  • Conduct research on complex tax matters and interact with tax authorities when required.
  • Support both internal and external audits.
  • Maintain and enhance ERP/tax applications and databases.
  • Partner with business units to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance and process efficiency.

Requisitos

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economy. (EXCLUYENTE)
  • 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, finance, and/or audit roles.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and business processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Strong command of ERP/tax systems – SAP experience preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in U.S. or international direct and indirect taxation.
  • Prior involvement in system implementation or process improvement projects.
  • Strong coordination and leadership capabilities.
